Job Opportunity: Consulting Soil Scientist

NSCSS has received two inquiries in the last week from soil scientist owned firms seeking leads to qualified soil scientists.  Both firms are located in Western states.  Formal job descriptions have not been prepared yet.

For both firms the ideal candidate will have consulting experience and will have achieved ARCPACS CPSS, but is still fairly early in their career.  CPESC certification, hydric soil delineation, and agronomic skills would serve a candidate well.  These are permanent, advancement track positions which demand high professional achievement:  new and site specific applications of soil science performed with an unremitting drive to achieve the highest quality work within multiple contractor project timelines. Individuals short on certification, but who have the education qualifications needed, you should not hesitate to apply.
