Key Personnel.

As co-founder of DAVIS Consulting Earth Scientists, Mr. Davis has been involved in a awide range of professional activities in the southwestern region of the United States since 1981. A major emphasis of his work is in environmental and agricultural areas, pertaining to land use, conservation, erosion control, agriculture and ubran development. Mr. Davis has contracted with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation on the Glen Canyon Environmental Study; the U.S. Forest Service for mapping of sensitive area in the Lake Tahoe Basin; provided input to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on vernal pool management; assisted Central Valley farmers and developers with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act permitting; contracted research on landscape evolution and archaeological interpretation to the U.S. Geological Survey in Arizona and Utah; and, adivsed many local and county governments in the field on subsurface and spray irrigation for sewage treatment.

Currently Mr. Davis is the Chairman of the Soil and Land Use Committee of the California Association of Resource Districts, and has been a director of the Georgetown Divide Resouce Conservation District for the past 20 years. He is a former President of the Professional Soil Scientists Associtation of California, and the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists.

His professional certifications include: Registered Soil Scientist (National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists); Certified Professional Soil Scientist / Soil Classifier (American Registry of Agronomy Crops and Soils); Registered Enviromental Assessor (California Environmental Protection Agency); California Community College Teaching Credential (life-time). Mr. Davis holds a B.S. in Soil and Water Science from the University of California at Davis.

Mr. Davis is a member of the American Society of Agronomy, Soil Science Society of America, Soil and Water Conservation Society, Professional Soil Scientists Association of California, National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists, California Forest Soils Council, California Farm Bureau, El Dorado Win Grape Association and Georgetown Divide Rotary.
